Island Bamboo Duvet Cover Set

The Island Bamboo Duvet and Sheets are the absolute best! My husband usually doesn’t care much about things that I buy around the house. As soon as we got into the bed after it was made up with our new duvet and sheets he had me order another set of sheets immediately. They feel so cool, soft and cozy. I also liked that when I made the bed the wrinkles mostly came out by just smoothing the fabric out on the bed. I initially thought the bed was going to look rumpled, but it looked great!

I found this brand through a NYmag.com article that rated them as the 'coolest sheets' on Amazon. After some further research on the sustainability of bamboo due to my personal desire to be eco-friendly in any way I can, I decided to give them a try. I have been using these sheets for a little over a week and already know these are the best I've ever owned. They are silky and luxurious, making it even more difficult to get out of bed in the morning; I just want to make metaphorical snow angels in them all day. I had no idea i was sleeping on garbage-pile sheets for so long! I have been constantly bragging to my colleagues about how much better my sleep experience has been since I bought these sheets. However, it was surprising how heavy the sheets were, but gratefully that did not translate once they were on the bed. These sheets seem to dissipate heat very quickly, which is important to me since I live in the Central Valley of California (hot!). In fact, I don't think I have once woken up once with any evidence of sweat.The only downside to my entire experience was their website, which is not a traditional retail website. On their page they only describe the warranty, the care, and their mission statement. After one night, I immediately wanted to find additional pillowcases so I could completely rid myself of garbage sheets, but I had no success. Their catalog is entirely on Amazon, which made it more difficult to look for specific items. But...The customer service is amazing! There is a link to their Facebook page on the website, which, I presume is the primary way to contact them. I wanted to buy additional pillow cases (because we sleep with more than two pillows), so I tried contacting them through their Facebook page. Their representative responded to a message within hours, who then sent two additional cases at no cost to me. I value customer service above all else and was completely flabbergasted at how well they treated me as a customer and how promptly they felt a response to my inquiry was needed.I genuinely hope this company is around for a long time and if they are, they just found a life-long customer. When these wear out (and they incredibly have a 5 year warranty) I will be buying another set. In fact, I will probably order another set, just to have a spare. Finally, if you take nothing away from this review, I've already recommended them to my mom.

Recently purchased a new queen sized bed and needed new sheets for the upgrade. Did more online research into different sheet sets and materials than I figured I ever would. Settled on bamboo as an intriguing albeit little known to me material for bed sheets but decided to give them a try as a possible year-round option that could be soft and cool in summer and warm in winter. Thus far after a couple of weeks I am very impressed.Product arrived promptly in a very nice gift bag. Sheets were as soft and luxurious as others had described and softer than any sheets I have previously owned. The color I purchased (Storm) turned out to be a bit darker than I had envisioned from the pictures here on Amazon but still a very lovely color (think of a gray Storm cloud) and in no way a complaint from this customer. Sheets washed very well following manufacturers instructions (machine wash cold/tumble dry low/no bleach etc) so standard washing instructions for bed sheets.My first week sleeping on these sheets was on my old Full size mattress which is past its best days and on which I had difficulty most nights falling asleep and for about the last year had resulted more mornings than I care to admit to waking with sore and aching muscles which I have not previously experienced. Suffice to say that while the queen sized sheets were a little big for the mattress, my ability to fall asleep at night has not been an issue at all and I have not awaken in the AM with any soreness. These sheets thus far are a dream to sleep on. They are now on the queen mattress which I just received and are even better. Fitted sheet fits perfectly. Pillow cases are generously sized for queen sized pillows.The product description also states that they are hypoallergenic for those with allergies. I have never been an allergy sufferer so I cannot comment on this. Their product description also states that they are 'sourced from certified organic, sustainable & pesticide-free bamboo forests,' which is also good to know.Thank You for a quality product.

The most HEAVENLY sheet set I have EVER slept upon and best of all, I'm not at a hotel! Now, I'm not one of those overly-affluent, hoity-toity people, but I do love sleeping in comfort. I've tried everything from the google-thread-count Egyptian to satin to silk and none of those have anything on these sheets. They REALLY DO stay cool no matter how much I try to sweat through them or how much I may toss and turn at night (it's not the sheets' fault that I suffer from menopause and chronic insomnia after all). Not only that, but the feel of the fabric as is slides through your fingers is far more luxurious than silk with the added benefit that it doesn't over-slide. (Silk annoys the #@$@% hell out of me by continuously sliding off my pillows, off the bed and rarely, me off the bed with them...) I haven't slid off the bed with these sheets yet, nor have I awoken to any of my pillows de-cased yet. (Did I mention menopause?)My queen size sheets fit my queen size HUGE gel-pad-tempura-topped mattress perfectly. Washing them is a breeze and stains come off very easily (I'm female, need I say more?). As for wrinkles, I have no clue what other people are talking about. I've washed these sheets once per week since I bought them four months ago and yeah, don't expect to drop a quarter and have it bounce back (go back to the military if you miss those starchy ribbons so bloody much), but they are still every bit as smooth as the day I unwrapped them from their very lovely packaging. (I kept the bamboo sheet bag that they came in, it's really handy!) The only way I could see the sheets permanently wrinkling is if you leave them sitting in the dryer, wet, for days on end or if you just happen to have had a bit of bad luck at the coin-laundry and your sheets became the machines' breakfast.I am so pleasantly happy with these sheets and will be ordering more sets in the future. They werent cheap as to what i usually spend, but wow i love these sheets. Ive only ever had cotton, but i love these so much more. I have a purple mattress and decided to finally buy nice sheets to compliment the bed. Its been over a year using just the purple mattress topper which was more comfortable that using the cotton sheets, but the topper was getting dirty and loosing the whiteness. I did lots of research and it was between these and the purple sheets. Price about even (purple was slightly more $) i rolled the dice and went with these and I dont have any regrets. I dont know how purple feels, but these have a nice stretch to them and allows you to get the most out of your purple mattress, the difference is night and day with these and cotton sheets put over the purple mattress. Cotton is stiff and really counters the pros of having such a high end mattress. In comparison tho these sheets really shine!I live in arizona. It gets hot, and i run hot. These sheets have like a cooling factor to them, i would agree they do wick heat away. They are probably the softest sheets ive had. Only possible downside is they stay pretty wrinkled. I dont really care, but some might. Regardless i really couldn't ask for anything better... especially with my purple mattress, or any mattress for that matter
